How it works
Book what you need. For as long as you need it.
Shortyme is temporary access to private spaces — offices, studios, meeting rooms, day-use rooms — by the hour. Find one, book the exact time you need, and let yourself in. Here is the whole of it.
For guests
- 01
Find a space
Search the way you would ask a person — "meeting room in Maitama for 3 hours". Filter by area, time, duration, price and privacy. Every listing shows a Privacy Score and verification up front.
- 02
Check it is really free
Availability is the real thing, not a guess. Pick your hours on the timeline and you only see what is genuinely bookable for that window — the same source the booking itself uses.
- 03
Book and pay
A few taps: your hours, a review of the price with fees and tax shown, then pay by card, bank transfer or USSD through Paystack. The price you see is the price you pay — fixed server-side.
- 04
Verify, if the space needs it
Private spaces ask for a quick identity check. That is the trade that lets a host leave a stranger alone in their space — and it is why a guest is safe walking into one. Discretion from other people; never anonymity from Shortyme.
- 05
Let yourself in, and use it
On confirmation you get the exact address, directions, and how to get in — often a code issued minutes before your booking starts. Message your host from the booking any time. Afterwards, leave a review.
For hosts
- 01
List your space
Tell us what it is, where it is, and add photos — a guided, stepped flow, not a wall of fields.
- 02
Set price and availability
Your hourly rate and the hours you are open. Import an existing calendar so a booking elsewhere blocks the same hour here.
- 03
Verify and publish
A quick identity check, and your listing goes live once it meets the checklist. The Privacy Score reflects the structural facts of the space.
- 04
Get booked and get paid
Funds are held safely and released to you after the booking, so a cancellation or chargeback is always covered. Your dashboard shows your bookings, earnings, occupancy and which hours are going unbooked.
Why verification
Shortyme is built for private spaces, so trust is the product. Verification helps a host know who they are welcoming and a guest know who they are booking from. You can be private from other people at a property without being anonymous to Shortyme — that single rule is what makes unattended, discreet access safe for both sides.
